It is dang near impossible trying to find a condiment in the grocery store that isn’t filled with refined polyunsaturated oils and if you do find one it costs an arm and a leg. Who doesn’t love a chicken nugget? Obviously, you do or you wouldn’t be here. Well, my 2-year-old daughter LOVES them. She would put them through her face if she could. I’m always experimenting with ways to make fan favorites at home and of course healthier. So I was giddy when she loved these sweet potato chicken nuggets and it’s nice to know that she’s not eating mystery nuggets and getting a little hidden veggie in there too;) (more…)

I am a huge fan of almost anything fermented or pickled. The acid from pickled foods just brings to life almost any dish. I recently had a breakfast dish at a local restaurant that featured pickled collard greens with poached eggs and it was a revelation. I just knew I had to try and make some for myself at home after trying them. (more…)
